Paris sensation
"Each time i go to Paris, this is my first shop," Juan Montoya says of Galerie Eric Allart, which now occupies a larger space in the city's antiques district (right). Captivated by the shop's "striking presentation" of furniture, ranging from 19th-century pieces to 1970s work by designers such as Karl Springer, Montoya couldn't resist a globe-shaped hanging lamp of blown glass and bronze he bought for himself. "He's not just interested in big names, " Montoya says of Allart, "he's looking for the unusual." |
