A Gallery Manager, Publisher, Antiques Dealer, Interior Designer… Cultivator
Eric Allart is never where you expect to find him. Always on the lookout for new experiences, never speculating or calculating, he seeks constantly to revise his profession from his gallery on rue de Beaune or his house at the marché Paul Bert.
Eric Allart is a man of boundless energy. His passion for objets d'art and artists goes back to his teen years. At the tender age of 16, Eric Allart was already collecting paintings. He began to forge his appreciation for artwork at the family farm in Ardennes where he was born. At age 18, he gave up a chance to go to the École Hôtelière de Lausanne and instead went to work in Paris for contemporary art brokers. He took a job as an artist's personal secretary, then opened his first booth at the Saint Ouen flea market. There, he rapidly established a circle of curious and faithful aficionados of his work, who admired his taste for mixing styles.
Eric Allart follows his instincts and emotions. He finds new objects, then placing them in their ideal environment. When he spots a talent, he wants to make them known. He becomes enchanted with an artist's work, learning all about the creator, in order to present them so that we can in turn appreciate them fully.
